So, I've been on a bit of a blogging hiatus. We don't have wi-fi in our apartment and we have a baby who doesn't really sleep in a crib but loves to sleep in our arms. Not a great situation for being online, but super snuggly.
My new phone to the rescue! I can now blog, tweet, and do facebook updates with The Muffin in tow. And as soon as I buy the right memory card I can instantly send baby photos to the grandparents. I'm still getting the hang of such a tiny keyboard, but I'm having a lot of fun with it.
We are making our final preparations for India. We have our visas and we are working on getting our flights. Sophie has all her two-month vaccinations. Mike and I need flu shots. We've ordered a ton of household items and baby supplies to bring with us. I think the last big project is the cat. I really need to work on that this week. We want to ship her separately.
I hope to be back to regular blogging soon. I haven't even been checking twitter or reader. I'm so out of touch! And I miss it.

I'm glad you posted! I've been wondering how you guys are doing!
wow! when do you depart? I can't imagine getting ready w a newborn around. Actually, when it's #2, no problem, but when it's #1, a little difficult. good luck!
Baby wearing. You can type, you can clean the house, you can do laundry, you can take pictures, all while your baby is safely and comfortably next to you. Also studies show that babies who are held more in their first year and more independent as toddlers and adults.
Best of luck during your final preparations... enjoy your time, your new munchkin, and your last moments with your family. oh, and definitely enjoy your new phone!

I hope all is well there as you're preparing for India!
Thanks everyone!
We are leaving in the first week of November. We have stopovers in New York and Delhi before we get to H'bad.
I do wear her for walking around running errands, but around the house it's not as convenient.
